Class types
Fox Class
Fox Class has 6 Key Stage 2 pupils and is supported by 2 adults.
Our class teacher enjoys reading, travelling to new places, listening to Harry Styles, and drinking oat milk vanilla lattes from Starbucks. They are not keen on snakes or a messy desk.
One of our learning support mentors likes going to music events, art galleries, being spontaneous, always looking out for others, being respectful, cats and travelling to new places. One of our learning support mentors doesn’t like judging other before you know them, fish, snakes, running or leaving people out.
Hedgehog Class
Hedgehog Class has 6 Key Stage 2 children and is supported by 3 adults.
Our class teacher really enjoys eating chocolate and ice cream, spending time with her children, listening and watching Disney movies and when her children in her class she likes it when they are sharing and being kind to each other. Our class teacher does not like snakes, rude language or a messy classroom.
One of our learning support mentors likes to hike and walking in natural outdoor mountainous environments, learning new things, going to see exhibitions, drawing and being creative. One of our learning support mentors doesn’t like eating meat, when it is raining all the time or injustice.
Frog Class
Our class teacher enjoys playing video games, reading books, and walking his dogs. He does not like peanut butter.
Our learning support mentor enjoys sports, is from Australia, and loves travelling. They do not like seeing people treated unfairly.
Squirrel Class
Squirrel Class has 5 Key Stage 1 and 2 children.
Our class teacher enjoys listening to music and seeing people try their hardest. They do not like wet socks or unkind behaviour.
One of our learning support mentors is a semi-professional football player and coach, and also leads sports across the school.
Another of our learning support mentors enjoys football, cooking, Nando’s, going on long drives, and making coffee at the weekend.

What do we do
In addition to classroom time, children at Elmtree Grove participate in a range of activities and therapies. We off Thrive to all children, more information can be found here. We have our own Occupational Therapist. We have a core OT offering for all children with bespoke plans for those children requiring additional support in line with their EHCP and needs. Our children participate in Forest School, music, trips and more.
